A PARISH is a living and breathing part of the mystical Body of Christ.  A body is made up of many members, so are our churches.  Though there are 2 of them, we are never the less only one body.  
And as every cell in our body contributes to the well being of the whole, so each member of our parishes ought to contribute to make our communities a better place.  
We have liturgical helpers, those who work with people who are in need, those who are shut-in, those who lack knowledge and desire to come to know our GOD, those who take care of the grounds, and on and on we could go.
