HOW TO APPROACH THE ALTAR AT HOLY COMMUNION TIME

• When the priest drinks from the chalice - this is the time to get up from the pew and approach the altar.

• Please line up on one side of the altar, as close to the altar as you can, side by side and stay there.

• Holy Communion is then distributed to the EMHC's, after which each will receive a ciborium and goes to their station.

• After the distribution of Holy Communion, please come back to the altar and go BEHIND THE ALTAR (where the priest stands), and place the ciborium ON THE CORPORAL (white cloth), then proceed to go to the front of the Sanctuary and wait with the rest.

• When the priest places Jesus back into the Tabernacle and genuflects, all the EMHC's bow and go back to their pews.
